Can I pick up my package from UPS if I missed the delivery? ›

If you want to pick up your package at a UPS Customer Center, your request must be received by 7 p.m. If you're unavailable when UPS attempts delivery at your address, UPS may deliver your package to a UPS Access Point^® location near your home, where your package will be held for you to pick up for 7 calendar days.

What happens if you're not home to sign for UPS? UPS will leave an InfoNotice at your residence that shows the next scheduled delivery attempt, or where to collect the package. After three attempted deliveries, the package is sent back to the shipper.

What do I do if my UPS package was not delivered? ›

Start a claim within 60 days of the scheduled delivery for packages that have been lost or damaged, or if a collect on delivery (C.O.D.) payment wasn't received.

Answer: If you don't want to sign for your UPS package, you can choose to waive the signature requirement by signing the back of the UPS InfoNotice left by the driver. This will allow the driver to leave the package at your door without a signature.

Yes, you can request UPS to leave your package at the door by using their “Delivery Instructions” feature. You can leave specific instructions for the driver to follow, such as leaving the package at the front door or with a neighbor.

If the shipment requires a direct or adult signature, then someone must be available to sign in person. If someone is not home to sign for a direct or adult signature, the courier will leave a door tag or reattempt delivery.

If you missed a delivery, you received a UPS Delivery Notice letting you know that your driver was unable to deliver your package. Scan the Delivery Notice to track it and find the nearby UPS Access Point location where it was delivered. This does not apply to "Adult Signature Required" deliveries.

Go to the UPS site and choose “File a Claim” under the “Support” tab. Log into your UPS account to file a claim. Fill out the details requested such as tracking number, your status (shipper, receiver, third-party, etc). Select the reason for the claim — late delivery, lost package, etc.

Customers may go to the Post Office to pickup the item on or after the date and time indicated on the PS Form 3849 delivery notice. When an item is looked up via the USPS Tracking® feature, the Post Office® information may not be provided immediately after an attempted delivery.
